Master of Science in Neurodivergence

The Master of Science in Neurodivergence at Carver University provides advanced and comprehensive education in neurodiversity, preparing professionals to promote inclusion, well-being, and empowerment for neurodivergent individuals across diverse settings. Grounded in neuroscience, psychology, education, and technology, the program integrates theoretical knowledge with applied practice.


Students will explore the neurobiological and developmental foundations of neurodivergence, develop competencies in mental health and therapeutic interventions, and learn to apply innovative approaches in neuroeducation, sensory integration, and assistive technologies. The program culminates in a capstone project that enables students to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives and propose solutions that advance inclusion, equity, and advocacy for neurodivergent communities.

    Scientific and Disciplinary Competencies

    Demonstrates mastery of the neurobiological, neuropsychological, and developmental foundations of neurodivergence. Understands the brain mechanisms underlying diverse neurodevelopmental profiles and applies this knowledge to the critical analysis of diagnostic frameworks, therapeutic interventions, and educational strategies.


    Intervention and Inclusion Competencies
    Designs and implements evidence-based inclusive interventions that address learning, mental health, and the overall well-being of neurodivergent individuals. Integrates approaches in neuroeducation, sensory integration, neuromotor stimulation, and assistive technologies across educational, clinical, and community settings.

    Ethical and Leadership Competencies
    Leads interdisciplinary initiatives that promote equity, accessibility, and the rights of neurodivergent communities. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity, ethical responsibility, and a strong commitment to reducing stigma and advancing inclusive policies.

    The program includes a $150.00 application fee and a $150.00 technology fee. These admission-related fees are waived for students who choose the full upfront payment option.
    The total cost of the program is US $11,700.00. This amount does not include enrollment tuition fees or other applicable administrative charges. Academic materials and access to the virtual library are included as part of the program. Applicants may also apply for the George Washington Carver Grant, which provides up to 75% coverage of tuition costs, subject to the application and approval process.

    All applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

    1. Submit a copy of an updated resume.

    2. Submit three (3) letters of recommendation.

    3. Submit an official transcript or original foreign evaluation showing successful completion of a US equivalent bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent recognition.

    4. Submission of a valid government-issued photo identification.
