Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at Carver University prepares professionals to lead innovation projects that integrate intelligent technologies into real-world environments. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines theoretical foundations, advanced programming, ethical considerations, and practical applications, the program develops the competencies required to address the challenges of digital transformation across sectors such as healthcare, education, industry, and services.

  • Analyze the theoretical and computational foundations of artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on the evolution of autonomous and adaptive systems, critically evaluating their scope and limitations.
  • Design and implement intelligent solutions using advanced Machine Learning techniques, neural networks, and high-level programming, applied to real-world challenges across diverse sectors.
  • Evaluate the ethical, legal, and social impact of artificial intelligence by incorporating principles of algorithmic governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance into the development and deployment of technological solutions.
  • Apply predictive models and decision-support systems based on large-scale data analysis, with particular focus on strategic sectors such as healthcare, education, and industry.

    Technical Competencies
    Demonstrates mastery of the principles and tools of contemporary artificial intelligence. Designs, trains, and evaluates Machine Learning and Deep Learning models; develops RAG and Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems; and applies Reinforcement Learning and optimization techniques to operational and strategic challenges. Proficiently utilizes programming environments and specialized frameworks to lead projects from conceptualization through functional implementation.

    Strategic and Leadership Competencies
    Understands how artificial intelligence transforms business models, organizational processes, and decision-making dynamics. Designs AI adoption strategies, leads multidisciplinary teams in contexts of technological change, and effectively communicates the value and risks of intelligent solutions to both technical and executive audiences.

    Ethical and Responsible Practice Competencies
    Integrates principles of algorithmic governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance throughout every stage of the AI project lifecycle. Recognizes the social implications of automation and acts responsibly when addressing the ethical challenges associated with technological development.

    Financial information

    The program includes a $150.00 application fee and a $150.00 technology fee. These admission-related fees are waived for students who choose the full upfront payment option.
    The total cost of the program is US $11,700.00. This amount does not include enrollment tuition fees or other applicable administrative charges. Academic materials and access to the virtual library are included as part of the program. Applicants may also apply for the George Washington Carver Grant, which provides up to 75% coverage of tuition costs, subject to the application and approval process.

    All applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

    1. Submit a copy of an updated resume.

    2. Submit three (3) letters of recommendation.

    3. Submit an official transcript or original foreign evaluation showing successful completion of a US equivalent bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent recognition.

    4. Submission of a valid government-issued photo identification.
