Food sustainability in the context of climate change
Director of the Institute of Applied Sciences at Universidad Autónoma de Chile, PhD in Science with a specialization in Plant Genetic Engineering. Expert in plant physiology, biotechnology, and molecular biology, with more than 30 years of experience. In Chile, he was one of the first to genetically improve plants, and his work contributed to the creation of legislation defining genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and the regulations governing them.
