1st Interdisciplinary Student Seminar

Carver University invites its Bachelor's and Master's students to participate in the 1st Interdisciplinary Student Seminar, “Connections between Technology, Society, and Management in the Digital Age,” an academic event aimed at fostering dialogue between disciplines through the presentation of research, projects, and critical reflections developed by students with faculty or institutional support.

Key Topics

Engineering and Technology

This topic addresses the impact and applications of artificial intelligence, ethical software development, blockchain, cybersecurity, Big Data, renewable energy, smart cities, and automation in healthcare and public services.

Social Sciences and Humanities

This topic proposes an interdisciplinary approach to addressing the ethical and social challenges of digital transformation, exploring topics such as the psychology of digital behavior, neuro-rights, mental privacy, algorithmic ethics, human rights in the face of new technologies, transhumanism, and the role of psychology in technological environments.

Management and Operational Strategies

This area addresses the challenges of management and leadership in the digital age, exploring topics such as digital governments, open innovation, ethical leadership, data-driven decisions, citizen participation, technological public policies, and social responsibility in the face of data capitalism.

How to apply for the 1st Interdisciplinary Student Seminar?

  • To apply, you must complete the registration form available at the following link.
  • Remember to log in with your Carver institutional account.
  • Presentations may be given individually or in pairs, with a maximum presentation time of 20 minutes in both cases. 
  • Applications must include the following information:

    1) Title of the presentation
    2) Abstract of the presentation (maximum 350 words)
    3) Full names of the authors (main presenter and co-author, if applicable)
    4) Academic program in which they are enrolled
    5) Contact information

    *All presentations will undergo an academic review process. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or participation in the seminar.

    Application deadline: September 17, 2025, 4:00 p.m. (Orlando, Florida).
